The Uttarakhand Ex-Servicemen Welfare Corporation has given a major New Year’s gift to employees working in government departments. The services of employees working in departments without sanctioned posts will not be terminated. Approximately six thousand employees are working without sanctioned posts. Many employees are working through UPNAL (Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam) against sanctioned posts, while many others are deployed without sanctioned posts.
The government has issued orders from time to time for the removal of employees working without sanctioned posts. Previously, the government had ordered departmental-level investigations into the payment of salaries to employees hired through outsourcing, both against sanctioned posts and without sanctioned posts. Following this order last year, the salaries of some employees were withheld, and the services of others were terminated. Now, in the case of UPNAL employees, not only has an order been issued for equal pay for equal work, but provisions have also been made for employees working without sanctioned posts.
In the order issued by the Secretary of Sainik Kalyan (Ex-Servicemen Welfare), Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary, it has been stated that if any employee is working without a sanctioned post, they will be paid at the minimum of the Group D pay scale or the minimum of the pay scale of the initial post in that cadre, and will be assigned work commensurate with other equivalent posts. A separate decision will be taken regarding the sanctioning of posts in the future
