New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome and felicitation at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary party meeting held today in the Parliament House complex. This honor was bestowed upon him for the success of the historic trade agreement between India and the United States, which was finalized last night.
On this occasion, all the senior leaders of the constituent parties jointly garlanded PM Modi, and slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” were raised. Kiren Rijiju, while briefing the MPs about the deal, said that it has created an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm in the country. He informed them that US President Donald Trump has announced that the reciprocal tariff on goods imported from India has been reduced from 25 percent to 18 percent.
This agreement has brought great relief to Indian exporters, especially for ‘Made in India’ products. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has finalized several important trade deals during his tenure, including the India-UAE trade agreement, the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, and now the India-US trade deal.
