Following recent snowfall on the high peaks of the Himalayas, a remarkable sight has emerged. A clear image of the sacred syllable “Om” has appeared on a mountain peak in the central. Himalayas between Dharchula and Munsiyari. This is being called the second Om Mountain of the Himalayas. The image, etched in the white blanket of snow, is captivating from afar.
According to religious beliefs, the Puranas mention eight Om mountains in the Himalayan region. Local people believe that this newly visible mountain is one of them. Previously, due to less snow, the image was faint and indistinct, but after the recent snowfall, the form of Om has become clear and distinct.
The appearance of this second Om symbol on the Himalayan mountains, considered the abode of Lord Shiva, has generated great excitement among the people of the region. People are viewing the mountain from a distance in the mornings and evenings and offering prayers. Many consider it a spiritual sign, while others describe it as a miracle of nature. This Om symbol, etched on the snow-covered Himalayan peaks, has become not only a center of faith for devotees but also a symbol of the wonderful confluence of nature and spirituality.
A Miracle of Nature or a Prophecy from the Puranas?
This Om symbol visible in the Himalayas has become a topic of discussion these days. Educationist D.S. Pangti says that it is a miracle of nature that reflects the amazing creative power of the natural world. Pandit Bhaskar Chandra Joshi explains that this is one of the eight Om mountains described in the Puranas. It is believed that these Om mountains will gradually appear in the Kali Yuga. This could be one such manifestation.
The New Image is Larger than the Original Om Mountain
An Om-like image was also seen in the Himalayas from Didihat last March. At that time, experts said that this image, visible in the east, was even larger than the actual Om Mountain. Due to less snow at that time, its lines were not clear, but now, with the accumulation of snow, the shape of Om has fully emerged.
