The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) is taking a strict stance against illegal constructions within its jurisdiction, and sealing and demolition drives are continuing unabated. The authority has made it clear that any construction carried out without approval and in violation of regulations will not be tolerated under any circumstances. In this regard, action was taken against illegal constructions in the Pragati Vihar area of โโDehradun. In Pragati Vihar Lane No. 6, Dehradun, action was taken against an illegal construction being carried out by Upendra Kumar Agarwal, and the property was sealed as per regulations.
Similarly, an illegal tin shed constructed by Shreyash Agarwal in the same area was identified and demolished. In both cases, the constructions were being carried out without the necessary approval from the authority.
The action was taken under the instructions of Joint Secretary Gaurav Chatwal, with Assistant Engineer Nishant Kukreti, Junior Engineer Jaideep Rana, and the authority’s supervisor present at the site.
The MDDA has appealed to the general public to obtain proper approval from the authority before undertaking any construction work. Strict action will continue to be taken against those who disregard the rules. This campaign is a significant step towards making the city well-planned, safe, and free from illegal constructions.
