The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) is continuously taking strict action against illegal plotting within its jurisdiction. In this regard, the Authority’s enforcement team today carried out demolition action against large-scale illegal plotting in the Doiwala area. This action was taken under the provisions of the Uttarakhand Town and Country Planning Act. The MDDA had previously issued notices to the concerned individuals directing them to stop the illegal construction and plotting, but this stringent step was taken due to their continued disregard of the rules. The Authority’s objective is to promote systematic, safe, and planned urban development by curbing uncontrolled development. Illegal plotting not only puts pressure on future infrastructure facilities but also causes financial and legal losses to ordinary citizens. The MDDA has clarified that similar action will continue against those who violate the rules.
