Helicopter services will soon begin in Barkot and Chinyalisaur in Uttarkashi. A regular bus service will also operate from Uttarkashi to Chandigarh via Chinyalisaur. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave this assurance to a delegation led by BJP state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan and issued instructions to the concerned officials over the phone.
Manveer thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning Rs 188.54 lakh for the construction of a boundary wall and road paving at the Barkot helipad. He said that the operation of helicopter services would boost tourism activities in the region and facilitate emergency evacuations of patients during disasters.
Currently, there is no direct bus service from Uttarkashi to Chandigarh, causing inconvenience to people traveling between the two cities. He requested that a bus service be started from Uttarkashi to Chandigarh via Chinyalisaur. Chief Minister Dhami assured them that serious action would be taken on their demands
