On January 14, the gates of the Adibadri Temple will be opened for devotees at 5:30 AM on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. A Mahabhishek ceremony will be held from January 14 to 20 to mark the opening of the temple gates. The auspicious time for the opening of the gates was announced by the temple’s chief priest, Chakradhar Thapliyal, at a meeting of the temple committee.
At the meeting, held on Sunday in the temple premises and chaired by the temple committee president, Jagdish Bahuguna, discussions were held regarding the week-long rituals, religious, and cultural programs. It was decided that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha will be organized in the Garhwal Rifles Kirtan Mandap from January 14. Religious and cultural programs will also be organized by women’s groups from the area.
