Following the appearance of Urmila Sanawar’s name in a viral video related to the Ankita murder case, BJP National General Secretary and Uttarakhand in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam has written a letter to the Home Secretary. He has termed it a criminal conspiracy and requested that the objectionable content be removed from media and social media platforms and its dissemination be prohibited.
In his letter to the Home Secretary, Dushyant Gautam stated that he is a respected social and political activist among the general public across the country. He has received information that, as part of a criminal conspiracy, some criminal elements have created a fake and fabricated audio recording. To further this criminal conspiracy, they are spreading this hateful, malicious, and false content on media and social media.
He has also included the names of 28 Facebook IDs, their email addresses and phone numbers, along with nine Instagram handles, eight YouTube channels, and two X (formerly Twitter) handles in the letter, on which this content is being disseminated.
In the letter to the Home Secretary, he requested that the concerned social media platforms and news channels remove all such content and prohibit its direct or indirect dissemination. He has also attached the content downloaded from these social media accounts on a pen drive along with the letter.
