The power supply to Kedarnath Dham will now be further improved. To achieve this, UPCL will construct a 33 kV substation equipped with state-of-the-art technology. UPCL MD Anil Kumar stated that a new 33/11 kV power station is being established in Kedarnath Dham.
The construction of this power station will proceed at a rapid pace. Its completion will significantly improve the power supply system in the Kedarnath Dham area. Millions of devotees from India and abroad visit Kedarnath Dham every year. Keeping in mind the increasing power demand during the pilgrimage season, UPCL is constructing this modern power station.
This power station will provide more stable power supply to the Kedarnath area and enable quick power restoration even in adverse weather or emergency situations. This will strengthen the region’s energy security and ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers. Under the project, a 33/11 kV power station based on state-of-the-art technology is being established, with a total capacity of 2 x 5 MVA.
This power station will be equipped with modern safety equipment, advanced control systems, and high-capacity transformers. MD Anil Kumar said that Kedarnath Dham is a center of religious faith in the state. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, UPCL is fully committed to providing modern power facilities to the state’s remote and high-altitude areas.
