Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi visited the Sahastradhara area today and met the disaster-affected families and provided them financial assistance. On this occasion, Minister Joshi distributed 12 cheques of Rs 3.80 lakh each to the owners of completely damaged houses and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to one family in view of the loss of life.
*Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Cabinet Minister said that after his request, the assistance amount for buildings completely damaged in the disaster was increased from ₹1.25 lakh to ₹5 lakh. He stated that this increased amount will prove extremely useful for the affected families.
He added, “On festivals like Dussehra, when people are celebrating in their homes, disaster-affected families are struggling with difficult circumstances. At such a time, it is my duty to reach out to them and offer support and solace.” Shopkeepers from Sahastradhara also shared their concerns with the Minister. They explained that heavy rains caused water to rise and flooded their shops, causing them serious financial losses. They requested special assistance from the government. Minister Joshi listened to their concerns seriously and assured them of all possible help.

Karligad residents* – Lakhiram, Suresh Singh, Dinesh Singh, and Sampatti Devi.
Majhada residents* – Itwar Singh, Kripal Singh, Sundar Singh, Prem Singh, Sumer Chandra, and Sukki Devi.
Fulait resident* – Mohan Lal Manmgai.
Seragaon residents* – Dharam Singh and Vimala. Devi.
