Uttarakhand’s Sports Minister and Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister, Rekha Arya, held a meeting with departmental officials at her official residence in Yamuna Colony on Wednesday. The progress of various schemes implemented by the Sports Department and the Women Empowerment Department was reviewed.
The meeting discussed important topics, including the establishment of a Sports University and the establishment of sports academies.
Minister Rekha Arya directed officials to ensure that there is no shortage in expanding sports facilities and that better opportunities be provided to athletes.
The Women Empowerment and Child Development Department reviewed the progress of all schemes, including the Nanda Gaura Yojana and the Mahila Sarathi Yojana. She urged that necessary proposals be seriously considered and timely action be ensured to ensure that the maximum benefits of the schemes reach the beneficiaries
