The protest by unemployed youth in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level examination continued for the fourth day. On Thursday, the State Congress Committee also expressed its support for the youth. The unemployed youth are demanding a CBI investigation into the matter.
Suryakant Dhasmana, Senior Vice President of the State Congress Committee, stated that he had reached the protest site to extend the full support of the Congress Party’s State President Karan Mahra and the entire party to the unemployed youth. He stated that every Congress worker and the top leadership of the party stands firmly with the unemployed youth of the state. He stated that the ruling BJP government has betrayed the youth of the state.
For the past eight and a half years, recruitment in all state government departments has been halted under BJP rule, and whenever an examination is conducted, the papers are leaked. He stated that the youth, who were at the forefront of the fight for the creation of this state, are now struggling on the streets to protect their jobs from the cheating mafia nurtured by the BJP. He said, “The Congress Party had demanded a CBI investigation into this matter under the supervision of a sitting High Court judge on the very first day. The names of many people associated with the BJP have been exposed in cheating, paper leaks, and recruitment scams in the state, which is why the BJP government is avoiding a CBI investigation.”
Dhasmana assured the youth that the Congress will fight this battle with full force and will hold protests at district headquarters across the state on Friday to press for this demand. He said that if the demands are not met, they will march to the Chief Minister’s residence and the Governor’s residence. Sardar Amarjit Singh, Jagdish Dhiman, Rajendra Shah, Dr. Pratima Singh, Sheeshpal Singh Bisht, Dinesh Kaushal, Rajesh Uniyal, and others were present during the protest
