The protest, alleging irregularities in the UKSSSC exam, continued on Wednesday. Youth are adamant on demanding the cancellation of the exam. Various leaders addressed the youth at the protest near the Parade Ground.
The protest began on Monday near the Parade Ground. The youth wanted to march from there to the Chief Minister’s residence, but the police stopped them there, citing law and order. Since then, the youth have been camped there day and night. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami invited a delegation for talks on Tuesday. The lengthy talks yielded no results, and the youth again stuck to their demands. The youth are continuously demanding the cancellation of the exam.
The youth allege that there was widespread rigging in the exam. However, the police are continuing the investigation. Two accused have been arrested so far. The government has also formed an SIT. An investigation has also been ordered by a former judge. In this matter, the youth are not ready to back down from their demands, hence they remained on strike even on Wednesday
