On Sunday morning, hackers suddenly posted images of the flags of Pakistan and Turkey, both Islamic countries, on Shinde’s X account. The incident went viral within minutes, sparking a debate on social media.
Cyber โโPolice Alerted:
Upon learning of the incident, Shinde’s office immediately alerted the Cyber โโCrime Police. An official stated, “We immediately informed the Cyber โโCrime Police. Our team responsible for the Deputy CM’s X handle later restored the account.” The official further stated that it took 30 to 45 minutes to restore the account, and everything is now back to normal. Police are investigating the country from which the hackers operated and their motive.
Who is Eknath Shinde:
Eknath Shinde is a prominent figure in Maharashtra politics, founding the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and currently serving as Deputy Chief Minister in a coalition government with the BJP. His rebellion that toppled the Uddhav Thackeray government in 2022 transformed the state’s political landscape.
