The administration has rescued 168 people from the disaster-affected areas and shifted them to hotels. On Tuesday, the administration acquired five hotels under the Disaster Management Act. Ten staff members have been deployed there. They are listening to people’s problems and addressing them. The administration has also provided rations and other supplies at the hotels.
District Magistrate Savin Bansal stated that search and rescue operations are currently underway in the disaster-affected areas of Majad and Kaligad. Seventy people have been rescued from dangerous locations. Following this, people are being continuously evacuated from affected villages. Sixty affected people from Kaligad village have been evacuated to the Himalayan View Hotel.
Two staff members have been deployed at each hotel.
These people were initially housed at the primary school in Nagal Hatnala. Additionally, 32 people from Sera village have been sent to the Ira Resort, and 76 affected people from Kulhan have been sent to the Hill View Hotel. For this purpose, the District Tourism Development Officer has been appointed as the nodal officer. The Assistant Block Development Officer, Raipur, has been appointed as the assistant nodal officer, and two employees have been deployed at each hotel. Rations and other items have also been sent to these people.
Meals have been arranged in the hotels themselves. Cleaning staff have also been deployed to ensure better cleanliness in the hotels. Updates are also being collected from residents about their losses so that they can be provided assistance in the future
