New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat turned 75 on Thursday. On this occasion, many prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda wished him and praised his leadership in the RSS. Bhagwat has been the Sarsanghchalak of the Sangh since 2009 and during his tenure the organization has increased its reach to various sections of the society, including minorities. On this occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Mohan Bhagwat has made an invaluable contribution in social service and character building of the youth. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described him as an inspiration in nation building and preservation of India’s cultural heritage. During this, JP Nadda said that under the leadership of Bhagwat, the Sangh has taken the message of service, dedication and unity to the people. It is worth noting that 75-year-old Mohan Bhagwat is the son of a Sangh Pracharak. He has held various positions in the Sangh and has worked in many parts of the country. He also recently organized a three-day program to communicate with the minorities. Some of Bhagwat’s ideas like ‘Shivling should not be found under every mosque’ or ‘DNA of all in India is the same’ have been a topic of constant discussion, but he has consistently been in favor of an inclusive Hindutva.
