The above statement was made by the state’s Tourism, Religious Affairs and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj while addressing the representatives of tour operators, various experts related to tourism sector, entrepreneurs and organizations who had come to participate in the Uttara Conference organized at a local hotel on Tuesday under the joint aegis of Uttarakhand Tourism Representatives (Uttara) Association and Uttarakhand Tourism Department. Tour Operator: The Force Behind As the chief guest in the conference, he congratulated the organizers and said that Uttarakhand, which we call Devbhoomi, is not only important from the religious and cultural point of view, but it also has immense possibilities in terms of adventure, adventure tourism, wellness medical tourism and natural beauty. Therefore, today when we are discussing the future of tourism on the occasion of this event, we should also remember that tourism is not only a means of economy, but it is also a powerful medium to present our culture, our traditions and our heritage on the global platform.

He said that all tour operators are tourism brand ambassadors of our state, who show the real image of Uttarakhand to every tourist as well as take them to the destination.
Mr. Maharaj said that our government, working in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is continuously working to encourage sustainable development and investment in the tourism sector under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The schemes, incentive packages and new policies of the Tourism Department are concrete steps in this direction. Our efforts are to make the state a global hub of adventure tourism, religious tourism, medical tourism, wellness tourism and rural tourism. Sustainability & Crisis Preparedness are the major needs of today. We have to ensure that along with tourism development, environmental protection and participation of local communities also get equal importance.
He said that I am confident that such events, dialogue and cooperation will give a new direction to the state. This will not only solve the challenges of the tourism sector but will also open doors to new possibilities and Uttarakhand will get a new identity on the global tourism map.
