New Delhi: Since the introduction of Vande Bharat Express trains, the facilities of rail passengers have increased. Travel has become smooth along with punctuality. Indian Railways started the first Vande Bharat train in 2019. Currently, the network of Vande Bharat Express has spread across the country with about 150 trains.
Railways is constantly improving the operation of Vande Bharat trains. In this episode, the Railways has restored the stoppage of Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat train at a station in Bihar. Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 30 December 2022. Commercial operation of this premium train will start from January 1, 2023.
Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat train covers a distance of 562 km in 7:30 hours. This train is maintained and operated by the Eastern Railway zone.
Stoppages of Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Train
The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express (train no. 22301/22302) earlier used to stop only at Bolpur Shantiniketan, Malda Town and Barsoi Junction. With the latest change, now this train will also stop at Kishanganj railway station in Bihar.
The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat train has 16 coaches. It has two types of seats: AC chair car and executive chair car. The ticket for traveling in AC chair car between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri is Rs 1575, while the fare of executive chair car comes up to Rs 2835.

The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express (train no. 22301) departs from Howrah station at 5:55 am and reaches New Jalpaiguri at 1:25 pm. On the return journey, it (train no. 22302) departs from New Jalpaiguri at 3:00 pm and reaches Howrah at 10:30 pm.
