New Delhi: There is news of relief for the people of the country. Oil marketing companies have cut the price of commercial LPG gas cylinder by Rs 51.50. The new prices will be effective from September 1, 2025.
This reduction in prices was done after the latest monthly review done by oil marketing companies. This will provide relief to commercial consumers across the country.
From Monday, i.e. September 1, the retail selling price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1580. However, no change has been made in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder. The reduction in the price of commercial gas cylinder will provide relief to businesses, especially restaurant owners.
Oil marketing companies had also cut the price of commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 33.50 on August 1. Earlier, on July 1, the prices were also reduced by Rs 58.50.
This trend of reduction in the price of commercial LPG cylinders has been continuing since the month of June, when oil companies announced a reduction of Rs 24 in the price of commercial cylinders and its price became Rs 1,723.50. In April, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder was Rs 1,762.
According to the report, about 90 percent of the total LPG in India is used in domestic cooking. The remaining 10 percent is used in commercial, industrial and automotive sectors.
Over the past decade, domestic LPG connections in India have doubled to about 33 crores by April 2025.
