A woman died during delivery in Gopeshwar district hospital. While the newborn has been kept on ventilator. On getting information about the incident, people of the area reached the hospital and started a ruckus calling it the negligence of the hospital administration.
Let us tell you that Meena Devi (30) wife of Pradeep Singh of Bachher village was brought to the district hospital on Saturday during labor pain. The doctors started preparations for delivery at night itself. Gynecologist Dr. Amrita said that around 3:30 in the morning, Meena Devi’s blood pressure increased during delivery and she started having seizures. BP was not getting controlled.
Meena Devi died about half an hour after delivery. A lot of effort was made to save her, but she could not be saved. CMO Dr. Abhishek Gupta and DSP Amit Saini, who reached the spot, assured the people to investigate the matter. Also assured to do videography of the post-mortem. After which people calmed down.
