Haldwani: The district administration has completed preparations to deal with rain and disaster in Nainital district. Under this, 92 officers have been deployed in the district on the instructions of the District Magistrate. To whom the Additional District Magistrate has assigned different responsibilities. Also, everyone has been instructed to work better by coordinating and to provide quick relief and rescue work during the disaster.
In Haldwani Municipal Corporation, Additional District Magistrate Vivek Rai held a meeting with the officers nominated in the disaster. During this, he reviewed the reports presented by 92 officers of Nainital district after inspecting various areas.
Officers will deal with situations arising due to waterlogging and excessive rainfall: ADM Vivek Rai said that officers have been deployed to deal with situations arising due to waterlogging and excessive rainfall during monsoon.
Instructions have been issued to clean the drains passing through the mountains in Haldwani as well as in the populated area. Apart from this, wherever there is encroachment on canals and drains, it has been asked to be removed.
The ADM said that all responsible officers should keep their phones open 24 hours. Apart from this, if a call comes from any person, it should be received immediately and his matter should be heard on priority.
The SDM expressed great displeasure for not picking up the phone: During this, the Additional District Magistrate got very angry at an officer who came to the meeting. On which Additional District Magistrate Vivek Rai said that ‘When the officers are not able to answer the ADM’s words properly, then how will you people listen to the common public?’
He told the officer who came to the meeting that ‘I called you, but I could not talk to you completely and you disconnected the phone. In such a situation, if any officer is negligent, then legal action will be taken against him.’
