Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has approved the creation of 24 posts each for ANMs and MPWs under the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department. The creation of these posts will enable the deployment of ANMs and MPWs at various health sub-centers and ANM centers across the state, leading to significant improvements in health services and strengthening the vaccination campaign.
The state government is continuously striving to strengthen and expand health facilities in the state, ensuring better local access to medical care for the general public. In this regard, the government has created 23 posts each for ANMs and MPWs for 15 existing and eight newly proposed health sub-centers across nine districts. Additionally, one post each for ANMs and MPWs has been approved under IPHS standards at the Kanseru Health Sub-Center in the Gram Panchayat Kanseru, under the Naugaon development block of Uttarkashi district. The creation of all these 48 posts has been approved by the departmental minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. Out of these, 24 MPW posts are approved under outsourcing. Whereas the posts of ANM will be filled through direct recruitment. To make primary health services accessible to the general public at health sub-centres, the state government is continuously recruiting for the vacant posts of ANM. Along with this, these newly created posts of ANM will also be filled soon. Due to which the general public will get better health facilities at health sub-centres, apart from this, better care of the health of pregnant women and infants will be provided. Besides, the vaccination campaign in the state will also get further strengthened.
