District Magistrate Savin Basnal heard public grievances during the Janta Darshan program held at the Rishiparna auditorium on Monday. People from far-flung areas presented 121 complaints related to encroachment on private land, land disputes, domestic violence, irrigation canals, flood protection, electricity bill waivers, financial assistance, natural disaster damage, and compensation. The District Magistrate resolved most of these complaints on the spot. The District Magistrate directed departmental officials to take public grievances seriously and ensure their resolution on priority. Regarding Vishakha Verma, a resident of Nimbuwala, seeking bank loan waivers, the District Magistrate directed the District Magistrate to promptly investigate the matter and provide a proposal to the CSR to assist the victim. Following Jaimal Singh’s complaint of land fraud involving forged signatures in a land exchange agreement, the SDM was directed to investigate the matter and submit a report within 15 days. Similarly, upon Sushma, a resident of Nehrugram, complaining of illegal settlement of outsiders despite a court order prohibiting construction until the disputed land was divided, the MNA directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure strict compliance with the court’s orders. Disabled Gaurav Kumar, seeking employment, directed the ASDM to arrange for employment for the applicant in a company. Upon a complaint regarding the extremely poor condition of the road from Khaali Ki Puliya to the Jungleat Chowki in Ward 4 of Gram Panchayat Sahaspur, the DDO Sahaspur and AMA District Panchayat were directed to repair the road. Disaster-affected residents of village Phulet Majra Bhaikali Khal directed the SDM Sadar to take immediate necessary action to provide financial assistance for the natural disaster. Mehar Singh, a resident of village Saibuwala, requested financial assistance for the damage to his entire house and agricultural land. The Tehsildar was directed to inspect the site and distribute the relief amount in accordance with disaster standards. All the villagers of Jakhan, affected by the landslide, submitted a request for regular rental assistance to the displaced families until a permanent solution is found for the damaged buildings. SDM Vikas Nagar was directed to take necessary action. On a complaint of illegal encroachment on a municipal road in Herbertpur, the Municipal Corporation EO was directed to immediately remove the encroachment. On a complaint of illegal construction in the Ranipokhari area, the MDDA and SDM Rishikesh were directed to take action. On a complaint by the Hilanswali Public Welfare Committee that all Khasra numbers in Hilanswali were displayed in the opposite direction, the Tehsildar was directed to investigate and resolve the complaint. On a complaint of illegal construction blocking a public road on DL Road, Dalanwala, the AMNA was directed to promptly remove the encroachment. Shaili Gupta, a resident of Shiv Colony, Kandwali Road, appealed for financial assistance, stating that her two children’s education has been jeopardized after her husband’s death. Considering their children’s education, the District Magistrate directed the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and Chief Education Officer to speak with the concerned school manager and provide necessary assistance. Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Chaybag Ambiwala, raised the issue he was facing in making the Aadhaar card of his 80 percent disabled daughter. On which the e-district manager was instructed to resolve the problem today itself.
